times we need public statements of solidarity, which the Week of Peace certainly provides. It also highlights the fantastic work being done by grassroots initiatives
across the capital, and inspires other communities to follow suit with their own

WEEK OF PEACE 2010 : Theme, " Giving Back "
This year Lambeth Police working in partnership with Lambeth Council put together a week of events and activities. Although this year of serious financial
setbacks, words such as recession and economic downturn formed daily conversation, the spirits of Londoners were not so dampened, that they recoiled
and failed to pool resources and efforts to work for a sustainable peace, in our
local communities.
We celebrate the giving spirit of this city and invite us to work together on our
theme of " Giving Back " in 2010.
I believe we all have something unique to give. Our time, effort and resource can
make a change occur, no matter how small to a sociaty that desperately needs and
await you.
